Richard (you can call him "Rick") grew
up in the San Francisco Bay Area and
attended Princeton University. After
college he began his journalism
career at a regional wire service
and then at two "alternative" weeklies,
the Pacific Sun and the San Jose Metro.
The next phase of his career was
spent at daily papers: the Philadelphia
Inquirer, the New Orleans Times-
Picayune, the Cambodia Daily (an
English-language daily in Cambodia,
where Rick lived for two-and-a-half
years) and the News Journal in
Delaware.
Along the way, Rick picked up a Masters in Business Journalism at the University of Maryland. As a Hitachi Fellow on Corporate Citizenship at Maryland, half of Rick's classes were in the MBA program at the Smith School of Business.
In 2005, Rick married and moved to Atlanta, where he established his current career as an independent writer and editor.
